Furniture Concepts
What could an everyday piece of furniture become? Ateliology Design Lab explores new shapes, materials and ways of living through digital concepts. Browse the ideas and tell us what you see in them. These designs are not available to buy.
What are Ateliology furniture concepts?
Furniture concepts are digital designs from the Ateliology Design Lab: ideas for furniture you can't buy, from the planet floor lamps and the Space Age capsule cabinet to the zebra velvet sofa. They show how a style can be taken further.
For each concept we describe its shape, materials and the effect it has in a room. Where a similar piece already exists, we link it as an alternative.
Common questions about the furniture concepts
Can I buy the furniture concepts?
No, they're designs. For some concepts we show similar furniture that already exists. If you like a design, we'd love your feedback on Pinterest or Instagram.
How are the designs created?
Each design starts with an idea for shape and material and is then shown digitally in a room. That way you can see how the piece could look in a real home.
