Kanso Bar
Ateliology Design Lab · digital concept, not available to buy
Kanso Bar is a Japandi-inspired cabinet concept: a quiet timber exterior opens to reveal a proposed home bar with storage, a work surface and warm light.
A home bar for a quiet room
Kanso Bar starts with a question: how can a home bar belong in a restrained interior? The concept combines an enclosed cabinet with space for glasses, bottles and utensils. These visualisations show a design idea, not an available product.
Timber and softened edges
Rounded corners soften the tall cabinet. A curved joint divides the front, with a recessed handle following its contour. The dark, expressive grain supplies much of the decoration while the overall outline remains simple.

Opening the cabinet changes its use
The doors reveal a lighter, warmly lit interior. Shelves, glass holders and a central work surface organise the proposed functions, with further storage below and in the doors. Everything can then disappear behind the quiet front.

A material study
Dark timber outside meets lighter surfaces and a stone-like work area within. Lighting is intended to reveal the shelves and materials. Final materials, construction and technical equipment would need to be resolved through product development.
An idea to use at home
A similar approach can organise an existing home bar: put occasional items behind doors and keep the working area clear. Repeat a timber or colour from the room to make the cabinet feel connected with its surroundings.
